Recap, part 2.

Next is Lucie Madison Hodges. She was born on Tuesday, April 19th, 2005 weighing in at 8 lbs, 7 oz and was 19.5 inches long. With Lucie, even though I loved my homebirth and am scared to death of germ infested hospitals, I decided to give the hospital a try. I had several false alarms and finally, when she was 10 days late, they told me to come in and they'd induce. Thinking back, I wish I'd never done it... it was a horrible labor experience. It wasn't nearly as long as Philip's birth (about 12 hours), but was more than twice as painful. BUT, she was born at 9:24 pm, perfectly healthy! She is now four years old, and weighs about 29 lbs, and is a very sweet little drama queen. If she is sweet, she's like honey. If she's upset, it can get scary. :-) But she is a very good big sister and a sweet helper, most of the time.

Lucie Madison, the day after she was born!

Lucie, just after her first birthday!

Trying to figure out the water gun at her second birthday party.

The first time I was able to get her hair (the little that she had!) up and have it stay! She was a little over two.

Princess Lucie, at her third birthday party.

At her fourth birthday party!

And here are some favorites from this year.
