Part Three

And next we have Eden Grace Hodges, born on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 9:21am after about 9 hours of labor. She weighed 7 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long. Smallest so far! I elected to have another hospital birth even though the first was so horrible. We lived in a crumby little apartment at the time, and I did not want to have her born in that place! Her birth was more than twice as bad as Lucie's, as I had a liver infection at the same time... which is also why the midwives pushed to induce. Since she was very, very late (I thought I was due end of March, but the doctor's office said April 2nd), I gave in. Also because of all the pain, I decided to have an epidural for the first time. And I did it because of the ridiculous liver infection... I am so very scared and sickened by needles, so it was terrifying, but she was born perfectly healthy! She is now 2 years old, weights about 22 lbs, and is my sweet little rascal. She can be such a sweet, good little helper. Anytime someone makes a mess, she is the one running to clean it up. If I'm busy doing something, and need a diaper or something similar, she runs to get it and bring it to me. At the same time, she is such a stinker! Quick to get upset, and gets into trouble very quickly! She's such a funny little thing.

Eden at her first birthday party!

On her second birthday.

And a few favorites from this year.
